Party in the USA!
What greater way to start this blog than with a predictable heading.
Its that time before the trip where you actually have to start packing and getting all those little things organised! We have been counting down the days since June and now we are down to single figures. 9 days!We wanted to write this blog so you can keep an eye on our adventures along the way but we aren't sure how successful dropping into internet cafes will be when your on the road. So fingers crossed we find time and internet to update you all on how we are going!
Packing is one those things you wish would just do itself! Positive thing about it is, packing is better then unpacking! We have been fortunate enough to have rellies to supply us with highly warm clothes! Ones that will probably make us break out in sweats! I'm not sure if we can ever prepare for the cold weather that waits us. All will be worth it when we can make snow angels.
Siblings have also been kind enough to pass along some wisdom to us.John: "What ever you do, don't eat the yellow snow!"
Our trip starts with flying into San Fran to meet our friend Kira! We met her when she came to work here for 6 months and we have kept contact over that time. While staying with her, she will be our tour guide around San Fran and hopefully show us where all the locals go.We then fly to LA where we expect to be picked up by some huge movie producer that MUST have us in their next movie. Well, stranger things have happened...
After a few days in LA we start our 21 day road trip across america. This tour offers a perfect balance between the busy cities and quiet National Parks. We start with a visit to San Diego and the excitement of Las Vegas. Spend the days exploring the National Parks of the southwest and cross the prairies of Texas. Experience the "southern charm" of New Orleans and Memphis before completing your tour across America with a visit to the Nation's capital. Driving into New York on Christmas Day and where we will also be spending New Years Eve!
Please dont be shy! We would love to hear your thoughts and any questions you have for us on any of our posts!! We are very excited and are glad we can share this with you!
Love Laura & Patrice xx
